Ngoi Pēwhairangi - A Remarkable Life. Second edition released.

Published by Huia, this is a second edition of the biography about the late Ngoi Pēwhairangi, a renowned composer and champion of the Māori language and culture and a contemporary and friend of the late John Rangihau and Tā Hēmi Henare. The book was released for sale during Te Matatini ki te Ao in February 2019. It has several new images and Dame Naida Glavish has added a short piece as well where she shares a memory of Ngoi. There is a QR code on page v of the book that will take the reader to the lyrics and music from the selected compositions by Ngoi that can be found in the book.  This is the Tāmata Toiere website which can also be accessed through this link,  http://www.waiata.maori.nz . The author, Tania Ka‘ai, is now working on a second edition of the Tūīni Ngāwai book.  Tūīni was Ngoi’s Aunt and also a prolific composer and performing arts exponent.
